  • Finn Fall Fest (5:00 – 7:00 pm) @ Finn School: Families of students and young children are invited for food trucks, games, crafts, pony rides, musical chairs, folk dancing, storytelling, student art, and more! For details, see dedicated post.

  • Goat Hangout and Ramble (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: (Formerly called “Hike with Goats”.) Your reservation gets you and your group of family or friends an hour-long experience with a friendly goat on its own harness and leash. For details, click here.
  • Scarecrow Selfie Saturdays (10:00 am – 2:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Drop-in to take a selfie with our scarecrows. Costumes & accessories are welcome and encouraged. (No registration required.) For details, see related post.
  • Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00pm) @ Southborough Library: Biweekly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.
  • Yoga for grieving mothers (4:30 -6:00 pm) @ Theracopia Therapeautic Wellness Center, 5 Crystal Pond Road: Free yoga, deep meditation and Reiki healing offered to mothers who have lost a child and their families For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Drop-in Chess (2:00 – 4:00pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Bring a friend, or make a new one, as attendees play the competitive classic game: Chess.

  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Books with Bunnies (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: An interactive story time for preschoolers (with a parent/caregiver) in the bunny garden with the farm’s Flemish Giant Rabbits hopping about. Pre-registration (and fee) required. For details, see related post.
  • Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Town Book Club (1:00 – 1:45pm) @ Southborough Library: his is a book club for current and retired town employees and volunteers. Meetings are monthly to discuss a chosen book.   • Vietnamese Street Food Virtual Cooking Lesson (6:00 – 7:30 pm) @ zoom: Part of the Southborough Library’s free virtual cooking series. Pre-registration is required, and registered participants will receive a shopping list in advance to prepare for the class. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Bring in five copies of original poetry to share. The group will provide supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come anyway and share your insights. (Meets twice monthly.)
  • Fall Chorus Concert (7:00 – 9:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School’s auditorium: The annual concert features the school’s Concert Choir, Camerata Singers, and Chamber Choir. Admission is $5 adults, $3 students/senior citizens (NSMA Members are Free). For details, see dedicated post.

  • Kids’ Pumpkin Floral Arrangement workshop (6:30 pm) @ Gulbankian Florist, 40 Mt Vickery Rd: Dids ages 5-18 can take part in a seasonally appropriate floral arranging workshop. There is a fee for the event, space is limited, and pre-registration is required.. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Crafternoon: Sewing Skulls (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Registration is required for this free workshop for ages 8+ to make colorful sugar skulls. For details, see related post.
  • Maple Syrup Making talk (7:00 – 8:30 pm) @ Cordaville Hall, 9 Cordaville Road: (Rescheduled from September) SOLF and the Southborough Library are sponsoring this free event at the Senior Center. Learn the the process from identifying trees through bottling your syrup. The program is open to all with no registration required. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Preschool Farm Explorers (10:00 – 11:00 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: For ages 2 years 9 months to 5 years old, Adult supervision required. Pre-registration (and fee) required. (discount for younger siblings and free for siblings under 1.) Little farm explorers will become immersed in what life is like at Chestnut Hill. Each session has a different theme. (Offered weekly.)   • Baby/Toddler Storytime (11:00 – 11:45 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: A weekly program for ages 0-2 years with their parents/caregivers. Each session will include puppets and music. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Tech Time (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Teen Room: Weekly drop-in session to get help from a librarian or teen volunteer. Learn about the Library’s apps and databases, get guidance on your devices, and have tech questions answered.
  • Make Your Own Stamp! (5:00 – 6:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Free craft program for ages 12+ — no registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Gardens That Work (6:30 – 7:30pm) @ Southborough Library, outside and main floor: Meeting of the Pollination Preservation Garden Club, sponsored by the Open Space Preservation Commission at the Southborough Library. For details, see related post.
  • Halloween Centerpiece workshop (6:30 pm) @ Gulbankian Florist, 40 Mt Vickery Rd: Create your own white pumpkin centerpiece with a mix of your choice of white or deep colored dahlias and other seasonal flowers and accents.   • Sachem’s Haunted Coffeehouse (7:00 – 9:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School’s Black Box Theater: The seasonal “coffeehouse” allows the audience to eat and drink while enjoying open-mic style performances by Algonquin students on the small stage.   • Trunk or Treat (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Woodward Parking Lot and Public Safety Building: Costume Parade and trick or treating. The Southborough Fire Association and Southborough Recreation combine the annual parade and costume party at the fire station with the Town’s Halloween fun for kids. For details, see dedicated post.
