Every fall, Algonquin holds musical showcases for its students to perform. This week the focus was on choral groups. Next week, instrumental groups will take the stage.
I’m also sharing NSBORO’s lastest “The Beat” covering music in the Northborough-Southborough Public Schools.
In addition to reading about the music program, there are links to some clips to enjoy.
Wednesday night, is Algonquin’s Fall Instrumental Concert. The school’s Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, String Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble I and Jazz Ensemble II will make their debut performance for the school year.
Admission to the concert is free to NSMA members* and senior citizens. General admission is $5 adult/$3 student.

The October issue of the beat includes a clip of the high school’s String Orchestra rehearsing on the cover. The school’s upcoming musical, The Addams Family, is spotlighted on page 5. (That will take place the evenings of November 16-17.)

Two nights ago, the school held its vocal showcase. NSMA posted a video of the Chamber Choir from the ARHS Fall Choral Concert. Unfortunately, it appears the clip isn’t sharable, but you can view it directly in their feed here.
