ARHS Postseason Update

Field Hockey, Volleyball and Girls Soccer are still in the state playoffs.

Algonquin won most of its state playoff games over recent days. Three teams will play in sweet sixteen competitions: Field Hockey, Volleyball, and Girls Soccer.

The team will host their sweet 16 against 10th seed Concord-Carlisle on Wednesday, November 7th at 4:30 pm.

Ava Arcona and Grace Chiota helped the Titans beat Masconomet in the D2 Round of 32 (photos cropped from pics by owen jones photography)2nd seed Gonk Girls Volleyball won all three sets against 31st seed Maconomet in the Round of 32 for Division 2 on Friday.

They’ll host 15th seed Plymouth South tomorrow (Tuesday, November 6th at 6 pm) for the round of 16

For the next round in the D1 playoffs, they’ll have to go up against 6th seed Franklin. (Game details are still TBA.)

The Prelim Round game between ARHS Boys Soccer and Brookline was a close one. (photos cropped from pics by owen jones photography)Boys Soccer was the first team to fall out of the tourneys. The 27th seed Titans played 38th seed Brookline. They entered overtime 2-2, then double overtime followed by penalty kick shootouts, won by Brookline 3-2. 

ARHS Cheerleaders didn’t score well enough in the Marlborough Invitational on Sunday to qualify for the Regional Championships this weekend.

Titans Football will play at Nashoba in another non-playoff game this Friday at 6:30 pm. Last Friday, the Titans lost 35-12 to Tantasqua.
