Every Christmas shopping season, I post a directory to help readers shop Southborough businesses on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
A couple of years ago, I decided to keep a page available all year. (Check it out here.) Still, I can’t keep tabs every time a business opens/closes/relocates. So, November is when I start digging into making updates.
I’m asking business owners who want to promote themselves to be proactive (and friends/customers to help spread the word.) Reach out and let me know what needs to be added/updated. (Or readers, let me know if something outdated should be removed.)
Have a photo to share? I’ll also be updating the image for this year’s post (and the sidebar ad), with occasional replacements throughout the year. So if there are 1-2 product/services that you have photos of (and rights to share) that you hope I’ll include, send it to me. (Keep in mind that the image will be small.)
My Shop Southborough directory isn’t a comprehensive list of all companies based in town.* It is focused on the types of retail businesses residents can support. (That can include pampering yourself for the holidays or buying gift certificates for services as holiday gifts.)
The directory currently includes the following categories:
- Bakers/Confectioners/Food manufacturers
- Boutiques/Gift Shops/Markets/Retail Stores – Stores in town
- Classes/Workshops
- Fitness Studios/Gyms/Wellness
- Online sales by Resident Artisans and Entrepreneurs
- Photography
- Restaurants/Coffee Shops
- Salons/Spas
If you aren’t on the list for one of those categories and think you should be, or want to change the details, please email mysouthborough@gmail.com. Or, if you think another category should be added, take a shot at making your case.
*I’d love to be able to keep a directory of all Southborough businesses, but that’s too big of a project for me alone.
