If you want to add to the dessert course at Thanksgiving but don’t have time to bake, make a note to head downtown this weekend for The First Community Church of Southborough’s annual Pie Sale.
As a fundraiser, members of the congregation sell desserts the Saturday before Thanksgiving. They begin around 8:00 am and stop when they sell out (usually by 11:00 am).
On November 18th, they’ll be at their usual perch — outside of Mauro’s Village Cafe (2 Main Street).
I don’t know what volunteers baked up this year. But to give you some ideas of the types of goodies they may have in store, last year they were selling pumpkin pie, apple pie, lemon meringue pie, apple crisp, chocolate covered pretzels, and more.
