On Thursday, the community turned out for the 17th Annual Gobble Wobble fundraiser for Friends of Southborough Recreation. I’m sharing result highlights.
There were 974 registered participants in the Thanksgiving morning 5K run/2 mile walk. (Even more, if you include those tagging along in strollers!)
687 runners competed in the timed 5K. The top finishers were:
- Males
- Grant Gattuso
- Mikhail Medina
- Females
- Eleni Kisty
- Annalise Davis
All four were in the 20-29 year old age group. Best times by other age groups were:
- Dylan Cotreau and Bryanna Chang (for ages 10 years old & under)
- Davis Robustelli and Autumn Tumbleton (11-19)
- Kenny Regan and Dianna Bell (30-39)
- Alex Scott and Karolina Markle (40-49)
- John Freeman and Angele Myers (50-59)
- Jim Howard and Nicki Healey (60+)

On Facebook, Friends of Southborough Recreation thanked runners/walkers, volunteers, Southborough Recreation, Southborough DPW, Southborough Police, and sponsors. who made the event possible. President Jolene Chapski reminded that the money they raised will support recreational activities for everyone in town.
