For the third straight year, the Southborough Police Department is holding a collection for the Southborough Food Pantry to help stock them up in time for the holidays.
This time, it looks like the focus is collecting helpful household supplies rather than food. (That’s likely due to the success of the recent Scouting for Food collection.*) They are hoping the community will help them stuff a cruiser full.
They are asking the public to drop off their contributions in front of the Public Safety station (32 Cordaville Road) between 12:00 – 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 9th.
The post states that they are seeking:
- Paper products: Paper towels, toilet paper, kleenex, and napkins.
- Cleaning Products: Laundry detergent regular and sensitive, Dish Detergent, and All Purpose Household Cleaners.
- Personal Care: Pump Hand Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, and toothpaste.
(*The pantry’s website does share that they do have a few food needs following the scouting event. You can find their list here.)
