  • Dull Men’s Club (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Casual social club for senior men. New members are always welcome to drop in. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Kids Jam (11:00 – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Newborns through preschoolers are invited to dance and sing. No registration necessary. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library. For details, see related post.
  • Canasta (11:15 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Animated Advent (7:00 pm) @ Pilgrim Church, Fellowship Hall, 15 Common Street: A four week fim series will use movies for all ages to highlight an important religious theme. This week’s movie is “Ponyo” for the theme Joy. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Middle School Book Club (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Monthly Book Club for grades 6-8 with discussion and activities. For details, see related post.
  • Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00pm) @ Southborough Library: Biweekly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.
  • Yoga for grieving mothers (4:00 -6:00 pm) @ Theracopia Therapeautic Wellness Center, 5 Crystal Pond Road: Free yoga, deep meditation and Reiki healing offered to mothers who have lost a child and their families For details, see dedicated post.
  • St. Anne’s Christmas Pageant (6:00 – 7:00 pm) @ St. Anne Parish, 20 Boston Road: The Parish’s annual Children’s Christmas Pageant. Please come support our young thespians – all are welcome!
  • Southborough Safe Spaces – Holi-gay Youth Party (7:00 – 9:00 pm) @ St Mark’s Church, 27 Main Street: Event for grades 6-12 hosted by Southborough Safe Spaces for LBGTQ+ youth of all faiths and their allies.   • Winter Maker’s Market (by appointment 11:00 am – 4:00 pm) @ Apothecary Artists, 1 Boston Rd: Artisans will be selling home-decor, jewelry, soaps, candles, ceramics and artist originals, including “Southboro Gear”. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Interboro Community Band Winter Concert (2:00 pm) @ Westborough High School, 90 W Main St: A free symphonic concert for the public featuring “Seasonal Favorites & Other Music from the Symphonic Band Repertoire”. For details, see dedicated post.
  • AVM Messiah Sing (3:30 pm) @ First Church, 37 High Street, Marlborough: Assabet Valley Mastersingers regional chorus will perform the Christmas portion of Handel’s oratorio and the “Hallelujah Chorus” with audience participation and organ accompaniment. For details, see related post.
  • Blue Christmas Service (7:00 pm) @ St Mark’s Episcopal Church, 27 Main Street: St. Mark’s “Blue Christmas” service for people who need solace during the Christmas season. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Knitting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Bi-monthly social knitting group. Beginners are welcome and supplies will be provided, though you can also bring your own and “any creation you are working on”. For details, see related post

  • ARHS Holiday Concert (6:30/7:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School Auditorium, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough: The school’s annual Christmas concert traditionally brings together both instrumental and vocal groups. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Crafternoon: Gift Making (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Children ages 8 and up are invited to the library for this free program to make gifts and wrap them for the holiday season. (Registration is limited.) For details, see related post.
  • Southborough Rotary Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Southborough. New and prospective members are always welcome. (Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)

  • Half Day for NSBORO Students: Northborough-Southborough public schools starts the December break with an early dismissal today. (Dismissal times by schools are ARHS at 11:06 am, Trottier at 10:50 am, Neary at 11:50 am, Woodward at 12:05 pm, and Finn K-1 at 12:20 pm and Pre-K at 11:00 am.)
