Friday was a disappointing day for Algonquin Titans performing in winter break invitationals, but Saturday was a much better one.
Girls Hockey had made it to the championship round of Medway’s New Years Classic, but lost 5-2 to King Philip on Friday. On Saturday, Boys Hockey beat Hudson 5-2 in their Daily News Cup consolation game.
Girls Basketball entered the Korbey Tournament and lost the first round, 41-33 to Milford. The Community Advocate recapped:
while Algonquin never threw in the towel – coming within two points of reclaiming the lead just after halftime – Milford proved too much to handle, and relegated the never-say-quit Titans to the consolation match.
You can read more here. On Saturday, they won the consolation round 59-39 over Westborough. They’ll, hope to repeat that when they host Westborough tonight.
On Friday, Algonquin Wrestling lost to Weymouth and Ashland in the Franklin Holiday Super Duals. But the next day, they beat Canton, Stoughton, and Durfee.
ARHS Boys Basketball also lost a regular season game at Fitchburg on Friday, 53-49. They’ll hope for better results in Westborough tonight.
This Thursday, the Ski Team finally kicks off their season.
