Rose J. (Salvati) Walker, 94, of Southborough, died Monday, January 1, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center-Memorial Campus in Worcester.
She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Josephine (Pierro) Salvati and the wife of the late Robert L. Walker. She was predeceased by her sons, Michael R. Walker and Robert L. Walker, II, her brother James Salvati and her grandson Robert Walker.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Patricia Johnson of Southborough, her sons, John A. Walker and his wife Kelle of Charlton and Peter J. Walker and his wife Dena of Hubbardston and her sisters, Joanne Wells and Sally Zafron. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Meghan Johnson, Shawn Walker and Jason Walker and five great grandchildren.
Rose enjoyed reading her daily newspapers which always kept her up to date on current events in Southborough and around the world. Her life was busy. She raised four sons and a daughter while working as a registered nurse. She retired from nursing in 1985 and few coworkers remained lifelong friends. Rose was at her happiest when surrounded by her friends and family and she will truly be missed by all.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 5:00-7:00PM at the Morris-Johnston Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough, MA 01772. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11:00AM at Southborough Rural Cemetery, 11 Cordaville Rd., Southborough, MA.
