In November, I promoted Southborough’s Winter Wishes Campaign. Now Friends of Southborough Youth Commission are asking me to share the following thanks with readers:
Southborough Youth and Family Services and the Friends of Southborough Youth Commission would like to thank the entire Southborough community and beyond for a very successful Winter wishes campaign.
With the help of our residents and many generous donor groups (including but not limited to churches, schools, local banks, Southborough Rotary, Kindergroup and many of the local businesses) we were able to collect donations in excess of $22,000! And, the donations are still coming in!
This year’s campaign, assisting over 100 residents from 27 different families, was a wonderful way to bring holiday cheer to the Southborough community. A special Thank You to Beth Melo for spreading the word about Winter Wishes and all of our programs and events throughout the year. Wishing you all the best for a happy and healthy year.
While the winter campaign is done for the year, I think it’s worth noting that SYFS and FSYC also raise funds each year to help families pay for summer camp. (The snow all around makes that need seem eons away, but it takes time for the agency and charity to organize that program.)
