  • Middle School Book Club (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Monthly Book Club for grades 6-8 with discussion and activities. For details, see related post.
  • D&D series flyers with FriendsD&D: Session 1 (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Registration is required for this event for ages 12+ This is part of the series sponsored by Friends of the Southborough Library and led by a Dungeon Master. This session begin a campaign with your pre-made character. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00pm) @ Southborough Library: Biweekly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.
  • Yoga for Grieving MothersYoga for grieving mothers and their families (4:00 -5:30 pm) @ Theracopia Therapeautic Wellness Center, 5 Crystal Pond Road: Free yoga, deep meditation and Reiki healing offered to mothers who have lost a child and their families For details, see related post.
  • Vision Board Art Night flyerSouthborough Safe Spaces Vision Board Art Night (7:00 – 9:00 pm) @ St Mark’s Church, 27 Main Street: Event for grades 6-12 hosted by Southborough Safe Spaces for LBGTQ+ youth of all faiths and their allies. For details, see their Facebook post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Knitting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Bi-monthly social knitting group. Beginners are welcome and supplies will be provided, though you can also bring your own and “any creation you are working on”. For details, see related post.
  • Parenting A+ Child FlyerSYFS Parenting Workshop (6:30 pm) @ zoom: Southborough Youth and Family Services is offering this free, virtual parenting workshop — “Parenting the A+ Child: Anxious, Angry, Active, Awkward.” . For details, see dedicated post.

  • Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Bring in five copies of original poetry to share. The group will provide supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come anyway and share your insights. (Meets twice monthly.)

  • Assabet Half Day: Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School has Professional Development Day – early dismissal for students.
  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Southborough cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Let’s Draw Animals (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: (Rescheduled from January 10th.) This over breakfast workshop for seniors will provide hands on lessons from an award winning cartoonist on techniques for drawing a variety of animal characters. Pre-registration is required.   • Southborough Rotary Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Southborough. New and prospective members are always welcome. (Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)

  • Baby/Toddler Storytime (11:00 – 11:45 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: A weekly program for ages 0-2 years with their parents/caregivers. Each session will include puppets and music. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Young Scientists STEM Beginnings (1:00 – 1:45 pm) @ Southborough Library: This is a free 6-week in-person series for children, ages 3-6 to learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) concepts through hands-on activities, story time and simple experiments..   • Winter Sow flyerGardens that Work: Winter Sow (6:30 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: (Rescheduled from last week.) This session, members will participate in a workshop in on planting seeds for their required winter cold stratification.   • Wick flyer 2024Wick Choral Festival (7:30 pm) @ St. Mark’s School, Class of ’45 Hall, Putnam Family Arts Center: Admission is free to St. Mark’s 2 day celebration of music that features the talents of their students and other local high school a cappella ensembles.
