A week from Friday, the Interboro Community Band is playing its annual Spring Concert. Although I doubt the audience will actually be dancing in the aisles, it sounds like the band will have them grooving in their seats.
ICB will be playing “A Collection of Works For Band Inspired by International Dance Styles”.
The performance is Friday, March 22nd at 7:00 pm. As always, the community is invited to enjoy their show for free.*
Music Director Matt Lefebvre will lead the band made up of over sixty members (mostly adults) from Southborough and neighboring towns.
During intermission, the audience can chat with band members and enjoy refreshments.
ICB was founded by Algonquin’s music director over 50 years ago. Until the pandemic, the band had rehearsed and performed out of NSBORO schools. When it resumed rehearsals, it was forced to shift locations. Fortunately, they found space in a neighboring borough.
I’m told that the membership has surged since, but many members are still from Southborough.
