I forgot to include this event in my highlights of the week post. So, I’m posting a dedicated reminder.
Tonight, Thursday, March 14th, the Southborough Police Department is hosting a public safety event for families with babies and young children — or anyone else who drives with them (or will be soon).
Certified child passenger safety techs will check to ensure that infant/kids car seats are properly installed and secured, “to make sure your child is riding safely”.
The program is funded by the Highway Safety Division. The event will take place from 5:00 -7:00 pm. No appointment is required.
Officials encourage participants to bring their children, but it’s not required. (And I’m assuming some of the people who are interested will be parents-to-be. I remember being nervous about whether our seat was properly installed when my oldest was born.)
