Southborough Police are investigating a house break-in that took place on Barn Lane while residents were away over the weekend. The SPD is also increasing patrols in town.
Last night, the SPD posted to Facebook:
Officers responded to a reported burglary at a Barn Lane residence this afternoon. The burglary appears to have taken place this past Saturday (March 16th) around 7 pm, while the residents were away. Investigators from SPD were on scene today; processing the scene and reviewing security footage. At this time there appears to be at least 2 suspects involved. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Lt. Sean McCarthy at (508) 485-2121 or smccarthy@southboroughma.com.
Thank you.
Having heard about a break-in through the grapevine, I reached out to Chief Ryan Newell earlier yesterday. In his emailed response last night Newell stated:
We will be conducting a full investigation and following through with area departments. We will also be increasing patrols throughout town (more time on the road and adding some shifts).
