Occasionally, I like to remind readers of all the great museums and parks that the Southborough Library offers discount admission to. With Spring Break approaching, this is a great time to check one out.
The passes cover a variety of museums for all age groups and interests. Some seasonal venues are closed, but the following are available this time of year:
- Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield
- Battleship Cove, Fall River
- Boston Children’s Museum
- Danforth Museum, Framingham
- Discovery Museum, Acton
- EcoTarium, Worcester
- The Icon Museum & Study Center (formerly Museum of Russian Icons), Clinton
- Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston
- Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston
- Mass. State Police Museum & Learning Center, Whitinsville
- Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
- Museum of Science, Boston
- New England Aquarium, Boston
- New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill, Boylston
- Salem Witch Museum, Salem
- Trustees Go Pass
- Access/parking at many of The Trustees of Reservations properties
- Castle Hill on the Crane Estate, Ipswich
- Decordova Sculpture Park, Lincoln
- Fruitlands Museum, Harvard
- USS Constitution Museum, Boston
- Worcester Art Museum
- Zoo New England
- Franklin Park Zoo, Boston
- Stone Zoo, Stoneham
Please note that several passes need to be returned by 10am the next day the library is open.
The Library is closed on Sundays and this Monday (Patriot’s Day). That means that any physical passes for Tuesday would need to be picked up before 5:00 pm on Saturday. But the Library also offers some e-vouchers/passes that can be checked out online.
You can find details and reserve passes through the library’s website pass manager. Or you can make reservations by calling 508-485-5031 during library hours.
Most of these passes are made possible through funding from the Friends of the Southborough Library** and the Tower Hill pass is sponsored by The Southborough Gardeners.
*My pics are getting a bit dated. If you visit one of the listed venues, I’d love to include a pic of you or your family enjoying the museum/zoo/park in a future post! Email mysouthborough@gmail.com.
