Southborough Youth & Family Services is inviting the public to a humorous, motivational talk on “The Power of The Positive” in less than two weeks.
The event is timed for Mental Health Awareness Month. Unlike most of the programs in their series, this one requires purchasing tickets in advance for the limited seat event.
The talk takes place on Tuesday, May 14th at 6:30 pm. (Doors open 15 minutes prior.) The speaker and life coach promising a night of “laughs & learning” is Carrie Stack.
Join SYFS and Friends of the Southborough Youth Commission for a night of laughs, motivation, and delicious refreshments. Carrie Stack of the Say YES Institute, and author of “The Dream Boss” will use humor and audience interaction to teach ways to show up with optimism and resilience. Bring your friends! Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased via Venmo @FriendsSYF. Seats are limited and you DON’T want to miss this!
For those who don’t have Venmo, the flyer also offers the option to call 508-481-5676 about buying tickets.
As for the speaker, the Say Yes Institute website describes Stack as someone who loves:
talking to people about how to find & focus on the positive in life- at home and at work. . .
Using humor & interactive activities she engages audiences with concrete skills/tips and tools focused on building emotional intelligence (people skills).
For those who assume the author of Dream Boss would focus on the workplace, the book’s description explains that it focuses on being a leader, which can also relate to home or “in life”. Leaders are “in a position/role to positively impact, motivate and inspire others”.
According to the website, her book:
encourages people to lean in to what is going right, what is working, what is getting done and what is going well, and helps them use the power of the positive to shape how they move through the world. Whether you are a man or a woman, new at this or have years of experience, if you’re a CEO or you work in the home, show up in life from this place and you’re going to win. Because when leaders expand their ability to be Powerful, Positive, and Professional, they are more effective & happier -both at work, and in life.
