Southborough’s annual election is five days from today. I’m reminding readers of the details and sharing links to the information they need for deciding between five candidates running for 3 seats on our ballot.
As I’ve previously covered, there are two races. One is for the Southborough Select Board and the other is for Northborough seats on the Northborough-Southborough Regional School Committee. (Each town gets to vote on who represents the other town on the committee for Algonquin Regional High School).

Select Board – vote for one – 3 year term:
- Andrew Dennington (incumbent) (candidate’s statement)

Northborough candidates for Regional School Committee – vote for two – 3 year term:
- Kathleen Howland (incumbent) (candidate’s statement)
- Gigi Lisa Howell (candidate’s statement)
- Christopher Allen Lacasse (candidate’s statement)
Voting takes place on Tuesday, May 14th between 6:30 am – 8:00 pm at Trottier Middle School, 49 Parkerville Road.
The deadline has passed for applying to vote by mail. If you already applied, make sure you get your completed ballot back to the Town House by the end of voting. (If you have any questions, reach out to the Town Clerk’s office.)

- Board of Assessors – 3 year term – Heath Widdis (incumbent)
- Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds – 3 year term – Susan Delarda-Wood (incumbent)
- Board of Health – 3 year term – Chelsea Malinowsk (incumbent)
- Board of Trustees Southborough Library – vote for two – 3 year term:
- David Ekberg (incumbent)
- Mary Tinti
- Moderator – 1 year term – Paul Cimino (incumbent)
- Housing Authority – 3 year term – Bertha (Bea) Ginga
- Planning Board – 5 year term – Marnie Hoolahan (incumbent)
- Southborough School Committee – vote for two – 3 year term:
- Laura M. Kaufman
- Alan Michael Zulick
- Southborough candidates for Regional School Committee – vote for two – 3 year term:
- Kathleen Harragan Polutchko (incumbent)
- Jennifer Primack
Updated (5/9/24 2:39 pm): A reader pointed out that I had (accidentally) listed that there would be two seats on the ballot for the Select Board. (With two candidates, that wouldn’t be much of a race.) It’s obviously one seat.
