The community is invited to a closing reception for an art exhibit at the Southborough Library next week.
The library has been exhibiting drawings and mixed media works by Southborough resident Rajani Kumari. On Thursday, The Friends of the Southborough Library are hosting a reception.
The event will give Kumari a chance to “speak briefly to attendees about her process in creating her artwork”. Attendees can also enjoy light refreshments.
The reception will take place on May 23rd at 6:00 pm.
Back in January, I shared news about the exhibit, including the Library’s Facebook announcement about the exhibit, which included:
The Southborough Library is honored and humbled to display the work of local artist Rajani Kumari, a Southborough resident who is a first time art exhibitor. Rajani [pictured here] will have her work on display in the Main Floor Stacks area through May 2024. . . Her work is a wonderful addition to the library’s aesthetics and provides a visual appeal to the space.
You can see more photos of her works in the Facebook post here. You can find more on the artist and her work here.
