On a gorgeous day like today, who feels like being cooped up in the kitchen cooking? Fortunately, you have a good reason not to.
The Rotary Club of Southborough brought back its popular Food Trucks series today. The “Festival” will run weekly on Wednesday afternoons and evenings, May 22nd through June 12th.
The hours are from 3:30 to 7:00 pm. Each week, four dinner trucks and one ice cream truck will be parked on the downtown Southborough field. (That’s St. Mark’s School’s field at the corner of Routes 85 & 30). Scroll down for the food vendor lineup with links.
Rotary’s main purpose for organizing the annual festival is as a feel good, community event — with no admission fee.
They also use it as a platform for their charitable initiatives. For this year’s “Food for Thought” initiative supporting their scholarship fund in exchange for vouchers to the food trucks, click here.
I don’t yet have the food vendor lineup, for the full four weeks, but here is tonight’s schedule*:
Below are a few photos I took last year:
For future weeks, the events are rain or shine, but I’m guessing that’s within reason. (If weather for one of these events is forecast for torrential rain/thunder for the entire three hours, I’d look for news on cancellation/postponement.)
