ARHS Tourney Update

Boys Lacrosse in CMass Finals, Golf 2nd for CMass, and details on Track's State Championship competition

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Algonquin students competed in three CMass tournaments. I’m giving an update on those results, and details on more competitions to come this week.

On Tuesday, both Girls Tennis and Boys Lacrosse competed in Central Mass Athletic Directors Association’s Class A CMass tournaments.

2nd seed ARHS Boys Lacrosse played #3 Grafton in the Sem-Finals. They dominated 8-2. The Titan Boys will head to Foley Stadium in Worcester for the Friday evening Finals at 6:00 pm. They’ll be playing Wachusett, a team they’ve already beaten twice this season.

Top seed Gonk Girls Tennis played Shrewsbury in the Finals. The ARHS Titans lost 3-2.

Algonquin’s Athletics schedule has the co-op Girls Golf team through Westborough listed as competing in a regular match against Auburn yesterday. It turns out, it was actually their CMass Championship competion. The team came in 2nd place, losing out the top spot to undefeated Wachusett. (You can read more in the Telegram here.)

On Friday and Sunday, the Outdoor Track teams will compete at the MIAA Division 2 State Championships at Merrimack College. You can find the MIAA’s performance lists for who will be competing in which competitions (and later for the results) here.

While I’m updating readers, I should note a non-tourney game that wasn’t on the schedule I posted on Monday. Boys Rugby is now slated to play Cambridge Rindge & Latin at the Gonkplex stadium tonight at 6:00 pm.
