The Pilgrim Congregational Church tradition dates back to 1961. After a pandemic pause, the party was rebooted in 2022, with a public invitation to help build a sense of community.

This year, their save the date welcomes:

Join us for our annual Chicken Barbecue, where we’ll rally around the grills, the lawn games, and the Raffle Table to celebrate the start of summer. . .

We’ve got great food, fun lawn games, and even a raffle where you can win some great prizes. You drive by Pilgrim Church all week…now you can stop in and join in the fun. Chicken, Slaw, Cornbread, pie and so much more.

For parents, it’s worth noting that the “Chicken BBQ” has a hot dog option for the kids. (For the full menu, check out the flyer above right.)

The event takes place on Saturday June 15th from 5:00 – 7:30 pm at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 15 Common St. Tickets are $16/adult, $12/senior, and $8/child. (There’s no listed rain date. So let’s hope for good weather that day!)
