I’m putting on my other hat, as the President of The Friends of the Southborough Library. . .
The Friends board is inviting members and the community to join us for an Author Talk on June 12th by Southborough’s M. Jandreau at the start or our Annual Meeting.
Jandreau will talk about his experiences as the self-published author of four novels, and his latest work “My Best Friend, Marty”.
On his website, he promotes that the half hour talk will cover:
the art of writing, publishing, marketing, and (hopefully) selling a book.
I’ll discuss the entire process, from ideation to writing a million drafts, to publishing through Amazon and other services, and then shouting from the rooftops about your book.
Jandreau will also be available after his talk to sign copies of his books.
The talk is part of our annual meeting in which members elect The Friends’ board for the coming year. (A quick process, I promise.)
As the library promotes, we’ll also be celebrating “a successful year of supporting library services and inventive fundraising with the community”. And we’ll talk about our upcoming plans and how community members who support the library can volunteer to help out.
That will be followed by the Friends regular business meeting (where we vote on funding requests and discuss logistics for upcoming fundraisers.)
The event will take place at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 12th. We hope to see you there!
No registration is required, but Jandreau is encouraging RSVPS on his Facebook event here.
