Shir Joy Chorus “Hearts in Harmony” — Sunday

Shir Joy Chorus is holding its Spring concert this Sunday, June 9th, 7:00 -8:30 pm.

The local community chorus* which celebrates “music from the rich and varied Judaic cultures of Israel and the Jewish Diaspora” will hold its live concert at Congregation B’nai Shalom, 117 East Main Street, Westborough:

Shir Joy concert flyer June 9 2024The theme — “Hearts in Harmony” — reflects the group’s love of music and hopes for a brighterfuture for all of us.

The concert will feature selections in both Hebrew and English. Shir Joy will sing pieces by renowned medieval Jewish composer Salomone Rossi, contemporary Jewish composers including Beth Schafer, Judith Silver, Linda Hirschhorn, Craig Taubman, Batya Levine, Gerald Cohen, Julie Silver, Shefa Gold, as well as original compositions and arrangements by Shir Joy’s musical director Nan AK Gibbons, and more.

*Shir Joy Chorus is a Central MA Jewish Community Chorus. The chorus is non-auditioned and open to everyone, regardless of ethnicity or religious background.
