The Town website posted a notice that a vacancy has opened on the Southborough School Committee. They are seeking applicants to apply by late August.
The protocol is for the position to be filled by a vote of both the Select Board and the School Committee for an interim member to fill the seat until the next election, which is close to a year away.
The interviews and vote are scheduled to take place in September.
The News Flash on the Town website was apparently posted on May 30th and updated today to add the application deadline and interview date:
The Southborough School Committee is seeking Southborough residents who are interested in filling a vacancy on the PreK-8 Southborough School Committee. This appointment will be in effect until the annual election that will be held on May 13, 2025.
Residents of Southborough interested in being considered for this appointment need to submit a letter of interest along with any brief biographical information to:

The intent is for the Southborough School Committee and Southborough Select Board to interview candidates in open session on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. At the conclusion of the last interview, the Southborough School Committee and the Southborough Select Board will vote in open session and fill the vacant position.
