Updated (6/19/24 8:21 am): The 911 system was restored yesterday afternoon.
The Southborough Police Department posted to Facebook this afternoon news that “The state is currently experiencing a major 9-1-1 outage.”
I know that some phones received an alert with the number to use for emergencies in Worcester. According to the SPD, for any emergencies in town “please call our Business line at (508) 485-2121.”
They are also asking the public to spread the word to friends, family, and neighbors.
