Two weeks from tonight, the public is invited to learn how to improve their photography skills. The free lecture will take place at the Southborough Library.
Jeane Pearson’s will present “From Just a Snapshot to Art – Creating Beautiful Photographs” and answer questions. The event will take place on the Library’s main floor on Tuesday, July 16th at 7:00 pm.
According to the Library’s promotions, the lecture “will teach you how to shoot with a vision of the story you want each photograph to tell.”
Pearson will cover skills that apply no matter what kind of camera or phone/device you use to take photos:
Joanne will lead attendees through the art of seeing as a professional photographer does. Attendees will learn about framing and how to create dramatic compositions, balance and movement, leading lines and paths, depth of field and the nuances of working with natural light.
According to Pearson’s website, the lecture is accompanied by a curated slideshow of her photos, illustrating the concepts and techniques.
The free event is sponsored by The Friends of the Southborough Library. No registration is required.
