Updated (7/31/24 12:16 pm): Rec is cancelling the concert due to the forecast. They don’t have a set rain date but are trying to work out a future time for the band to play in Southborough.
Next week, Last Call Radio will entertain from Neary’s outdoor stage. It will be the third concert in Southborough’s 2024 Summer Concert series.
The group promotes itself as a 4 Piece cover band that takes a fun spin on familiar songs and makes them their own.
It will be the band’s first time participating in Southborough’s series. For those who want a preview of their sound, check out a recently posted video below. (Their performance was part of a Raggae Jam. The band’s website states they play an eclectic mix of genres.)
Note: Rec announced a change to the food vendor plans.
Yummy Mummy Bakery will have a table to sell its treats. But there won’t be a dinner truck. So if you are looking to have a picnic dinner, you’ll need to pack one to bring with you.
The six week concert series will continue each Wednesday through August 21st. The remaining schedule is:
- August 7 – Stacey Peasley (Children’s Concert)
- August 14 – Elastic 5 Band
- August 21 – Brett Warwick & Friends
The series is again sponsored by The Southborough Community Fund, Friends of Southborough Recreation, and Southborough Cultural Arts Council (funded through the Mass Cultural Council).
Updated (7/30/24 8:17 am): Rec notified me that attendees to last week’s concert were disappointed when the food truck failed to show. So, they want to alert the public that they cancelled the food trucks for the July 31st and August 14th concerts. (They do still have one booked for the August 7th event.)
Rec also informed me that they will make a decision on Wednesday by noon whether or not to go ahead with this week’s concert based on the most up-to-date rain/storm forecast. If they cancel, they will post the news on their Facebook page.
