A Southborough DPW employee asked me to let readers know about about a boroughs recycling event this weekend.

Residents of Westborough, Marlborough, Southborough and Northborough are welcome to take part in a recycling and sustainability event on Saturday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westborough Senior Center, 4 Rogers Road.
Click here for the full article with details about the cost for recycling each item. (Note the website link in the article is incorrect.)
The event page on the Green Team’s website also lists furniture items that can be recycled (from night stands to couches). No fees are specified and the site states “All furniture must be clean and reusable and we reserve the right to refuse items that do not meet our reusability standards.”
I should note that the event page contradicts the article by stating TVs won’t be accepted. I called to check on the discrepancy. I was told that the event page is outdated and they will accept TVs. Correct details were apparently also included in a postcard that Southborough residents should have received. (I must have already recycled mine without taking a good look!)
Updated (7/26/24 10:11 am): For those who can’t make it or prefer to wait for our Town’s event, I got the date of the DPW’s next electronics recycling/hazardous waste day. That will be on October 19th. (But my understanding is that their fees are higher.)
