The Southborough Library is inviting teens to paint “Kindness Rocks” this week.

The activity is part of the monthly TLT series. “Teen Library Team” participants can get volunteer credit while helping to “make the world a happier place”.

the group will decorate Kindness Rocks with Lily from OUTMetrowest. The rocks can be gifted to someone or left at the library to be shared in the community.

Interested teens can drop in this Thursday, August 15, from 5:00 – 6:00 pm on the library’s main floor.

The crafty goodwill concept should be familiar to many teens in town. In 2018, Neary students contributed Kindness Rocks to areas around town, including the Library, as part of that year’s art project.

And in the spring of 2020, the activity seemed to resurge in popularity.

Neary School encouraged students schooling from home to paint rocks to leave around town. And community members of all ages were also encouraged by Southborough Kindergroup to help raise spirits by leaving them on trails to be discovered during scavenger hunting.
