Northborough-Southborough Youth Lacrosse is promoting a special “Scoops” program for 3-8 year olds starting in September.

No experience is needed for kids to sign up for the co-ed “Learn to Play” program that includes preschoolers and Kindergarteners.

The only time commitment is one hour per week for six evenings.

Registration is open for the “Learn to Play” program that will run Wednesdays, September 25th – October 30th from 5:30 – 6:30 pm outdoors at Melican Middle School in Northborough.

Scoops Lacrosse Fall FlyerThe NSYLA Board’s message promotes a “Focus on fun, smiles, and learning the basics of lacrosse.”

Kids won’t need to have lacrosse pads, but they will need to bring their “sticks” to play the “sticks and smiles” program.

Flyers refer to registration through the Rec Department in August. It turns out, they meant Northborough Rec. That sign up page includes:

Scoops Clinics are designed for kids who are interested in learning about lacrosse and learning the skills in a fun and welcoming environment.

Kids will be broken into different groups based on age and/or skill levels. Most importantly, Scoops Clinics are designed for maximum amounts of fun, confidence building, and pure lawcrasomeness.

The program fee is $170 per child. The registration page is here. But if you haven’t previously signed up for a Northborough Rec program, you’ll have to create a family account first here.
