  • Northborough Summer Concert (5:00 – 7:00 pm) @Algonquin Regional High School GonkPlex Pavilion, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough: The community amphitheater will host a free concert with food vendors. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Labor Day:  No public school and Town offices and facilities are closed for the holiday.

Tuesday, September 3, 2024

  • State Primary (8:00 am – 5:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: Voting for state and regional office candidates in the State Primaries for the Democratic, Republican, and Libertarian parties, to qualify to be on the November general election ballot. For details, see related post.
  • Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • GonkStage ARHS Musical auditions 2024 flyerARHS Musical Auditions Workshop (2:45 – 4:45 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School: Info/Prep session for students interested in auditioning for the annual school musical, The Little Shop of Horrors.
  • Cook Book Club (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Participants use recipes from selected cookbook(s) to make in advance and share at the gathering. New participants are encouraged and all ages and partners welcome. To participate, email msorensen@southboroughma.com
  • Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night (8:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Weekly Trivia game night with prizes. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Southborough cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Registration Opens for Senior Center Programs (10:00 – 3:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center/508-229-4453: The opening day for signing up for early fall programs at the Senior Center. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Tech Time (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Teen Room: Library staff will help patrons with questions about devices, library apps, research databases and more. This will be a weekly drop-in opportunity. No registration necessary.
  • Southborough Rotary Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Southborough. New and prospective members are always welcome. (Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)

  • Finn Principal’s Coffee (9:30 am) @ Finn School cafeterial:
    Volunteer/Room Parent Orientation for parents of Finn School students.
  • Mah Jongg (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: The weekly program would love new players to join. Feel free to stop by to watch or talk to one of the players to see if you would be interested. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • GonkStage ARHS Musical auditions 2024 flyerARHS Musical Auditions (2:45 – 3:45 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School: Auditions for students to be part of the cast for the annual school musical, The Little Shop of Horrors.
  • Drop in Legos (3:30 – 4:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Children are invited to build with Legos and display their creations in the Children’s Room. Legos will be provided. Parents or caregivers must stay with children.
  • TLT Pet Toys flyerTLT: Pet Toys (4:30 – 5:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: join the Teen Library Team to make cardboard toys and puzzles for animals at the MSPCA who need some love.   • Neary Instrumental Rental Night (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ virtual. Parents can look for details from the school about renting instruments for students to use in the school’s band/orchestra program.

  • Canasta (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group playing “Hand & Foot”. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453. [Note: The weekly Senior Center program is at a new time starting this week.]
