Cover for the Building Commissioner during his absence. Coverage shall consist of returning phone calls and conducting inspections only. No office hours or zoning enforcement is involved with this position. $60 per inspection. Attend Board Meetings (virtually or in person), and draft minutes for review. Successful candidate will be required to accurately take notes and transcribe the minutes of the meeting with a draft submission to Planning within 5 days of the meeting. $50 per meeting hour (in 30 minute increments). Requirements include a bachelor’s degree (preferably in public health, environmental science or related field) and 1-3 years of experience in public health inspection or environmental health. Seeking mature and versatile individuals. involves work in all DPW Divisions with a primary assignment to the Highway Division. Work includes on-call duty, brush mowing, tree work, hauling, line painting, street sweeping, catch basin repair, pothole filling, plowing, and cemetery operations. Also includes other Public Works operations including, but not limited to, water main break assistance and transfer station operations. $24.40 to $29.45 per hour. (Posted until filled.
