I’m overdue in reminding the community about the Friends of the Southborough Library’s annual Book Sale on Heritage Day!*
As usual, the Friends will offer one free book per child. This year, we’ll also have hot cocoa on tap next to our Bake Sale table (which will be selling home baked muffins and quick breads in addition to dessert goodies)**.
As always, there will be a large selection of fiction and non-fiction hardcover and paperback books for adults, children, and young adults. Plus, you can find gently used CDs and DVDs. (See the price list below right.)
If you purchased a Friends’ tote in the past, be sure to bring it with you for a stuff-a-bag deal!
The event will be held in the Library parking lot, right across from the main field. Books and goodies will be for sale from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Proceeds from the Friends’ fundraisers are used to support Library resources and programs not covered by the regular budget. That includes most of the Library’s discount passes to museums and venues, many children’s programs throughout the year, and programs for adults and young adults.
Anyone who wants to volunteer to help us out for a shift sometime that day, please email djmtremblay@verizon.net. (Setup begins at 9:00 am and breakdown at 3:00 pm.)
For people who want to donate books/items to support the book sale, see the flyer left for details. (Please don’t wait until Monday to try to drop them off!)
*Full disclosure: I’m the President of The Friends of the Southborough Library. (Hope to see you at our sale!)
**If you plan to contribute something to the bake sale please email msorensen@southboroughma.com, so we can keep track of what to expect. Thanks!
Updated (10/10/24 9:46 am): I replaced the price list to add the stuff-a-bag deal details.
