For the 4th year, Southborough Kindergroup is hosting a free pre-Thanksgiving fun run — the Kids Turkey Trot.
Once again, kids of all ages are welcomed to join them for a series of fun runs. Age categories span from a stroller race to ages 8+. The event also includes another raffle for a 2-night getaway.
Kindergroup’s event will take place Sunday, November 17th at Trottier Middle School’s track (49 Parkerville Rd). Check-in begins at 9:00 am and races start at 10:00 am.
There will be free coffee, donuts and other snacks, plus music and prizes. Of course, the real prize is getting to watch the adorable tots and proud kids run their “trot” on the outdoor track.
Although participation is free, registration and a completed waiver are required (here). And there are some incentives to sign up early.
When you sign up, you can also pre-purchase a long sleeve shirt for your little runners. Those orders for those must be placed by November 1st.
Plus, organizers are again selling raffle tickets for a 2 night stay at RiverWalk Resort at Loon Mountain, “a grand new destination experience in the Basecamp of the White Mountains in Lincoln, NH”. The online sales are only through November 10th, with the winner announced at the event.
“In the spirit of Thanksgiving” organizers will again collect donations for the Southborough Food Pantry at the event. A list of their current needs can be found on their website, www.southboroughfoodpantry.org.
