If you have young kids, I hope you are all set with Halloween costumes. While door-to-door trick or treating is on the 31st in Southborough, the Town begins celebrating with kids this Saturday.
I’ve already previewed the Trunk or Treat that afternoon and evening. But the festivities begin even earlier, with the Southborough Library’s party at Fay School that morning.
For years now, the private school has hosted and co-sponsored the Library’s annual Halloween Party, complete with a costume parade and story time. The October 26th event is free to the public, with no registration required.
You can drop–in throughout the party from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm to enjoy Halloween themed games, crafts and food. But there are special events scheduled within the party that you may want to time your visit for:
- 10:15 Halloween story time with Ms. Kim from the Library
- 10:45 Costume Parade
- 11:15 Halloween Concert (Featuring children’s musician Jeannie Mack)
The Library’s flyer specifies important directions for parking at the event:
The event will take place at Fay’s Primary School. Please park in Harlow Circle, which can be accessed via Fay’s East Entrance, located at 23 Middle Road in Southborough, MA. If you use Apple Maps, please note that this address will take you to an incorrect location that is on the other side of the Sudbury Reservoir. Additional parking will also be available at the Southborough Library and the Southborough Town House.
Below are some cute parade pics that Fay shared on instagram after the 2022 party:
