Southborough Police are asking residents in the area of Maple Crest Drive and Pinecone Lane, plus Meadow Lane, to check any vehicles that were parked outside last night.
The neighborhoods were among those in the region to report items were stolen from their cars last night. To help with the investigation, they are also seeking anything helpful that may have been caught on overnight security footage.
Our town was one of at least three in the area that were hit last night. Based on the message, it seems that the Southborough break-ins likely occurred between 2:00 and 4:00 am this morning.
One neighborhood (Kimberly Park) is off of Framingham Road and the other off of Boston Road/Route 30.
Here is the SPD’s full message:
Southborough, Marlborough, and Ashland residents are reporting multiple car break-ins that occurred at some point during the night, last night. We have had multiple residents report that their cars were entered and that items were removed. Reports have been coming in from Maple Crest Drive, Meadow Lane, and Pinecone Lane. Additionally, there were credit cards taken during one of the car break-ins, and there was an attempt to use them in neighboring towns. There were at least two suspects involved in theses breaks.
It you live in these areas, please take a moment to check your vehicles (especially if they were unlocked last night).
We are asking if anyone has any security cameras in the area- please review and check to see if you have any suspicious activity captured, starting from 2am to at least 4am.

It’s not the first time something like this happened. So, it’s a good time to remind past police warnings that it’s risky to leave valuables in your cars parked outside overnight — even in driveways of neighborhoods that feel safe. (That’s especially true of unlocked cars.)
