  • Spooky Golf Fundraiser (10:00 am –  8:00 pm) @ Trombetta’s in Marlborough: A mini-golf and ice cream fundraiser for SOS (Southborough Organization for Schools), running daily through Halloween. For details, see dedicated post

  • Early voting (8:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Town House foyer, 17 Common St: In person early voting in State & Presidential Election and on state ballot questions continues daily through Nov 1st. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Library Halloween Party at Fay (10:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Fay School Primary School: Fay School is again hosting the Southborough Library’s annual Halloween party for kids. Includes a story time, costume parade, and concert. No registration required. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Spooky Golf Fundraiser (10:00 am –  8:00 pm) @ Trombetta’s in Marlborough: A mini-golf and ice cream fundraiser for SOS (Southborough Organization for Schools), running daily through Halloween. For details, see dedicated post
  • Trunk or Treat (3:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Woodward School parking lot and the Public Safety Building: The annual parade and costume party at the fire station, combined with the Town’s trick or treating event (at parked car “trunks”, and a movie night with a food truck. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Finding Fungi Hike (5:00 – 6:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: An educational mushroom foraging hike. Pre-registration (and fee) required. This one focuses on “scary” and Halloween-themed mushrooms. For details, see related post.
  • ARHS Homecoming Dance (7:00 – 10:00 pm, check in by 8:30 pm required) @ Algonquin Regional High School Gym: A semi-formal dance for students. Tickets are $10 each, covering DJ and Dancing in the gym (no heels or black soled shoes allowed) and free S’mores at the outdoor firepit. For details, see GonkGram post.

  • St. Mark’s Messy Church (4:00 – 6:00 pm) @ St Mark’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 27 Main St: A worship experience for busy families of younger kids. Includes a Bible story theme with activities, crafts, and a shared meal. For details, see related post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Spooky Golf Fundraiser (10:00 am –  8:00 pm) @ Trombetta’s in Marlborough: A mini-golf and ice cream fundraiser for SOS (Southborough Organization for Schools), running daily through Halloween. For details, see dedicated post
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Knitting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Social knitting group — scheduled to meet weekly this summer. Beginners are welcome and supplies will be provided, though you can also bring your own and “any creation you are working on”.
  • NSBORO Superintendent Office Hours (6:30 – 7:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: In-person office hours provide a time and space for parents and guardians to connect with the Superintendent about questions, feedback, or concerns about their student or their experience with The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough.

  • The Pollinator Garden (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library main floor: Presentation by Kate Donovan from the Blackstone Valley Veggie Gardens. She’ll discuss ways to attract beneficial pollinators to your garden. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night (8:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Weekly Trivia game night with prizes. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Southborough cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Registration opens for Senior Center programs (10:00 am): Mark your calendars to sign up for the Senior Center’s November and December programs in their latest newsletter. (Stay tuned for details and look for newsletters in your mailbox.)

  • Tech Time (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Teen Room: Library staff will help patrons with questions about devices, library apps, research databases and more. This is a weekly drop-in opportunity. No registration necessary.
  • Young Scientists STEM Beginnings (1:15 – 2:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: The dates changed on this program which will now run through Nov 13th. This is a free series for children, ages 3-6 to learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) concepts through hands-on activities, story time and simple experiments.   • Intro to Wildlife Tracking for kids (4:15 – 5:15 pm) @ Southborough Library: This free Hands on Nature event is for kids ages 5-10 yrs old. It does require pre-registration. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Transition Planning Workshop (6:30 – 8:00 pm) @ virtual: NSPAC hosts an annual workshop for families of students on IEPs to plot out the Transition Planning steps for students ages 14-22. For details, see registration page.
  • ARHS Fall Instrumental Concert (7:00 – 9:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School: The annual concert features the school’s Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, String Orchestra, and Jazz I, and Jazz II. Tickets and details are available here.
  • Live Blues Jam n’ Open Mic (8:00 – 11:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Come play or sing with the house band and fellow musical talent, or just enjoy the show. For details, see Facebook event.

  • ARHS Halloween Costume Contest @ Algonquin Regional High School: Student Council will award students prizes for best costumes during all three lunches.
  • Trick or Treating @ door-to-door: Unlike some towns, Southborough doesn’t have official hours. Kids generally start ringing bells at dusk on the day of Halloween.

  • Kids Jam (11:00 – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Newborns through preschoolers are invited to dance and sing. No registration necessary. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library. For details, see related post.

  • NSBORO Wellness Day Early Release: Half day for Norththborough and Southborough Public Schools.
  • Wellness Day Half Day Rec Program (until 3:30 pm) @ Southborough Recreation: Woodward and Neary students who are signed up for the program with crafts, snacks, and a movie will be transported there directly after school. For details, see related post.
