The Southborough Library is bringing back another popular educator on a nature-driven topic.
The hands on event on Wednesday afternoon is for kids ages 5-10 yrs old. In it, kids will learn about tracking signs of wildlife.
While the workshop is free, it does require pre-registration.
Come discover the tracks of local mammals and learn to identify which mammals leave which types of tracks.
In addition to learning about our local mammal tracks, we will also discover their other ‘signs’ , such as fur traces, scat and scratch marks. Following an animal’s tracks can teach us a lot about who lives in our woods and their behavior. Make some track rubbings and a track cast to take home!
The fun will take place on the Library’s main floor, Wednesday, October 30th from 4:15 – 5:15 pm. To sign kids up, visit bit.ly/sblibwildlife2024.
The workshop will be led by Heather of Hands on Nature. It is sponsored by The Friends of the Southborough Library.
Updated (10/29/24 3:49 pm): I changed the cover image after a reader pointed out a big typo in the Library’s flyer. I guess my eyes saw what was meant to be there, not what really was!
