Next week, the Southborough Library will hold a jewelry making workshop. Participants will go home wearing their own custom made beaded necklaces featuring an “Acorn”.
Registration is required for the free event for ages 14+.
The workshop will take place on Tuesday, November 5t from 5:00 – 6:00 pm on the library’s main floor.
The workshop will be led by Mystic Moon Beads’ Susan Underwood.
The Library describes:
This program will teach students how to layout a necklace pattern, determine proper spacing and length of necklace, and learn how to attach clasps using crimp beads and tools.
The glass acorn comes with a “real acorn cap”. Participants select beads to customize each necklace, then will design the beaded chain to bring out the stunning colors that are in their glass acorn.
This class includes materials, stringing instructions and use of tools.

The program is sponsored by the Southborough Community Fund, a fund of the Foundation for MetroWest.
