Earlier, I posted about an upcoming orchestra concert the weekend after Thanksgiving. But you don’t have to wait that long to enjoy a classical concert. The weekend prior, you can enjoy a choral concert accompanied by professional instrumentalists.

Heritage Chorale will kick off its 88th season with a concert in Southborough a week from Sunday,.

The singers will perform, “A Glorious Journey: Vienna & Paris”. The chorale promotes the concert as a musical adventure experience, explaining:

A Glorious Journey: Vienna & Paris–not only features the music of two style-defining cities, but also music that takes us from classical to modern periods. Professional instrumentalists and vocal soloists will join the Chorale.

The concert will be held at St. Mark’s School’s Putnam Family Arts Center. It will take place onSunday, November 24th from 4:00 – 5:45 pm. The program will include:

Marianna Martines (Viennese, 1744-1812) – Psalm 51
Anton Bruckner (Austrian, 1824-1896) – Psalm 22 (23)
Lili Boulanger (Parisienne, 1893-1918) – Psalm 24
Maurice Duruflé (French, 1902-1986) – Requiem
