ARHS Athletics: College Commitments and Hall of Fame inductions

Last week, Algonquin celebrated seniors who secured commitments to play in college Division 1-3 athletics next year. And this week, the school will host a ceremony to celebrate alumni, former coaches and athletic boosters for earning a place in ARHS Athletics’ Hall of Fame.

Athletic Commitments

Last Tuesday, Algonquin celebrated its Commitment Day.  14 seniors signed papers committing to compete in Division 1-3 college athletics. The Telegram & Gazette covered the event:

[Lindsey Brown] was one of three Titans who made their commitment to play Division 1 sports official in Northborough — alongside classmates Dylan Lochhead (women’s soccer, Boston College) and Miles Lipka (men’s track and field, University of Rhode Island).

“I’m happy to open up a new chapter but it’s sad to let go of girls Gonk (soccer) because they’ve been my family for the last four years,” Lochhead said. “But having the awesome support of all my teammates and coaches over the years, makes me really excited to form new connection with teammates and carry on for the next four (years).”
