Celebrating two DPW retirements

Above: DPW is celebrating the retirement of two longtime employees. (L-R contributed and from DPW Facebook post)

Last week, I shared news that longtime Town employee Bridget Gilleney was retiring as of yesterday. Community members turned out to wish her congratulations in person. And the DPW posted news that another longtime employee, Dean Cibelli, is retiring after 36 year in the Highway Department.

Below are photos a reader shared from a “Farewell to Bridget” event outside of the DPW’s offices, marking Gilleney’s last day:

Yesterday morning, on Facebook, the DPW posted:

2024 brings a close to the careers of (2) longtime DPW employees.
Dean Cibelli after 36 years in the Highway Department.
Bridget Gilleney after 35 years in the Cemetery and Highway Department.
Thank you both for your combined 70+ years of service to the residents of Southborough.
Enjoy your retirement. You’ve definitely earned it !!!!
