William H. Park, Jr. 92, of Madison, NH and formerly a longtime resident of Southborough, passed away at his home on Thursday, November, 28, 2024.
Bill was born in Fayville, and was a 1949 graduate of the former Peter’s High School in Southborough. He attended Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMass in Amherst, while there he joined the Army National Guard. He returned to Southborough and married Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Gray, with whom he had 4 children. Bill began working at Lynnbrook Farm and Wolfpen Farm both of Southborough, where he was a herdsmen and the local milkman until the farm closed in 1974. Bill then worked at Crandall Hicks of Southborough as the parts manager, along with Gulbankian Farm. He also worked at Davco Farm, attending to the orchards and the honey bees. His final job before his retirement in 2000, was at Fay School, as a custodian.
After retirement he purchased his home in Silver Lake, NH. Bill loved his home in NH as he had a large vegetable garden, which he shared with neighbors and friends. He also split and stacked cordwood which he used to heat his home, until the day he died. He lived a happy and simple life, just the way he wanted.
