Adult Sports Leagues

Southborough Rec offers basketball for ages 18+ and hockey leagues for ages 35+

Above: Adults can join a casual adult pickup hockey and/or basketball league weekly.

This winter, Southborough Recreation is offering opportunities to join two adult sports leagues. I’m late on sharing the info, but not too late for you to join them!

Both sports leagues have already begun playing, but still have openings for interested players to join them.

Register to play basketball through early February or ice hockey starting through late February.

The Basketball League for ages 18+ is about a third of the way through its session, but still has some openings to join them for Sunday playtimes through February 2nd:

Newcomers are ALWAYS welcome. Attendance need not be regular! This is a pickup league – we call our own fouls and keep our own score. Open to residents and non-residents!

Please be prepared to bring a white AND dark (black or navy) shirt to each drop-in session to assist in creating even teams.

Play is listed as taking place two evenings per week through February 5th. But the Wednesday gym times are listed as full. That means the openings are for Sundays from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Fay School’s Harlow Gym (48 Main St).

Registration is $60 here.

Adult Hockey league flyerThe Ice Hockey League calls for older adults only — ages 35+. This pick up league is also for residents and non-residents.

The price to join is higher, but new players will have only missed one the dozen games at this point.

The group meets weekly on Sundays from December 8th to February 23rd, 8:00 – 9:00 am, at St. Mark’s School’s ice rink.

Registration is $255 here.
