Christmas Tree pickup – January 11th

Christmas may be behind us, but that doesn’t mean you have to take down your tree just yet! As in year’s past, Boy Scout Troop 1 is offering to haul away your Christmas Tree. But that isn’t for a few more weeks.

Tree Pickup Flyer 2025This winter, the troop’s pickups (in town only) will take place the morning of Saturday, January 11, 2024.

For most of us, it’s a flat $15 fee for any tree. But the Scouts offer to do it for free each year for seniors, veterans, and members of the Police and Fire departments.

This year, organizers have created an online sign up option. To schedule your pickup click here. Requests will be taken until 7:00 pm the night before.

If you don’t want to use the form, you can also still email troop1trees@gmail.com — but be sure to provide your name, phone number, and address.

The trees must be left at the end of your driveway by 9:00 am that morning.

To pay for the pickup, either clip/tape a plastic bag with the money, or Venmo @BSATroop1Sobo (noting Christmas Tree pickup in the memo field).
