This month, the Town published its 23rd issue of the Town Administrator’s newsletter.

The January 10th issue covers the following topics “Shaping Our Town”:

  • Announcements about:
    • The upcoming 2nd annual joint Select Board and Advisory Committee “Budget Summit” on Saturday, January 25th. (This year will focus on proposed FY26 budgets for the schools*, DPW, and Fire & Police departments.)
    • The Tricentennial Brick Fundraiser
  • Recruiting for volunteers to:
    • Participate in a Community Needs Assessment by Southborough Youth & Family Services
    • Apply to fill a vacancy on the Capital Improvement Planning Committee
  • Stories congratulating:
    • Troop 92’s latest Eagle Scout Ryan Boy
    • NECC (New England Center for Children) on its 50th anniversary

*Updated (1/15/25 1:58 pm): Although the schools’ budget is in the newsletter and on the agenda to be part of the Budget Summit, Select Board Kathy Cook posted a comment updating that it will be changing. The schools need to finalize their new bus/transportation contract for the next school year first. The budget discussion with the Select Board and Advisory will be postponed to February.
