The Southborough Library is again inviting teens in grades 6-12 to help with a crafty volunteer project this month.

The activity is part of the monthly TLT series. “Teen Library Team” participants can get volunteer credit while helping to “make the world a happier place”. Each month volunteers complete a project that will be donated to nonprofit groups or shared with the community.

Participation doesn’t require a monthly commitment or pre-registration.

For the next event, teen and tween volunteers will put together and decorate “Sweet Cases”, described as duffle bags “full of goodies that will be given to local youth in foster care”. The bags will be used as care packages to help kids when they transition to new foster homes.

Interested volunteers can drop in on Thursday, January 28th, from 5:00 – 6:00 pm in the downstairs Eaton Meeting Room.

The free program is sponsored by The Friends of the Southborough Library.
