Algonquin’s Best Buddies program is promoting a fundraiser this weekend featuring performers from the local Rhythm Dance Company.
The “Dancers Unite!” event promises to literally unite the audience and featured dancers. Best Buddies promo invites attendees to join them on stage during the dance finale. An Instagram post by Rhythm Dance Company explains “The Best Buddies Chapter will join RDC for the Cupid Shuffle on stage to complete our performance!”
The fundraiser will take place Sunday, January 26th at 12:00 pm. The performance will be on the auditorium stage at Algonquin Regional High School, 79 Bartlett St, in Northborough.
The event will cost $10 per student and $20 general admission to attend. There will also be concessions for sale. Tickets will be available at the door and both cash and Venmo will be accepted for payment.
(RDC dancers and families can also purchase tickets through their Studio Director account! And RDC dancers that are not performing can purchase tickets at the door for a discount.)
The dance company promotes that they have been teaming up with the Best Buddies chapter for over ten years, including helping:
1) Leadership Development: 2 students have attended the Best Buddies International Leadership Conference to learn how to become leaders for more inclusive schools and communities.
2) Support club activities and supplies
3) Assist students with financial needs to fully participate in chapter/community events (mini golf, ice cream, bowling) 💜🫶🏼
