Last week, the Southborough Knights of Columbus held its annual Free Throw competition. Organizers reached out to share news of winners who will be moving on to the District competition and photo highlights.
A press release from “The Knights of Columbus Council #119” lists 8 first place winners (by gender and age range) out of the “28 young athletes who showcased their basketball skills by shooting 15 free throws each.”
For the Girls:
- Ruby Bartolini, Age 9
- Claire McCarthy, Age 10
- Alyssa Wilson, Age 11
For the Boys:
- Jax Lachiatto, Age 9
- Andre Benoit, Age 10
- Caden Venincasa, Age 11
- Charlie Blondin, Age 12
- Rana Potharaju, Age 13

All of the winners qualified to compet in the KofC District Competition in Marlborough. That will be held on February 18, 2025. Winners of that competition could advance to regional and state competitions.
